Senior Global Proposal Manager
Job description
We are excited to be working in partnership with a leading global law firm, on a highly strategic senior proposal management opportunity, this role will work on a global basis and take a real project management approach working across practices on the firms large scale global proposals.
Whilst this is a proposal role, this is not a heavy volume writing role, you will play a pivotal part working with senior stakeholders and business development colleagues based globally to produce these proposals.
You will work closely with the Director for the team and have colleagues based in Europe that you interact with on a daily basis, in a really collegiate and collaborative team environment.
Given the global nature of the role we are open to positioning the role in multiple locations, either in New York, DC, Chicago or Miami. The firm also offers a hybrid working policy with 3 days in office and 2 flexible.
See below an overview of the duties involved in the role;
- Leading and supporting the creation of proposals for high value tenders for the firm, pulling together the correct internal resources to put this together. This will require you interacting with multiple senior fee earners and marketing professionals relevant to each proposal to garner the most accurate information.
- Bring your own thoughts and ideas for each proposal offering, working with the partners in a consultative and advisory capacity to make each proposal truly unique and tailored towards the specific client.
- Work with the relevant colleagues on post pitch debrief and analysis, advising on where processes have been successful and recommending areas for improvement.
- Being a role model within the wider business development and marketing team, making yourself available to coach and upskill the business development team on the proposal process.
- Driving opportunity analysis on the proposal piece, being confident to evaluate the specific pitches and identify any 'no go' areas that the firm shouldn't be pursuing.
We think this is a really innovative role for someone who want's to play a dynamic role within the firms business development team. We are really open for an experienced manager to take that step up or a senior manager who would be interested in a lateral move.
