Business Development Manager - FI Group

Job description

We are excited to be working with an Amlaw top 20 firm, to bring in a Business Development Manager to look after their financial institutions group, reporting into the BD Director based in the New York office. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to move into a newly created role within a firm that is in growth mode and investing substantially into their MBD function.



Given the makeup of the team and there being a clear pathway towards senior management, we would be keen to engage current BDM's who have exposure to the finance or corporate area within a law firm. We could also potentially consider an experienced specialist or senior specialist seeking to take on their first management role.



Overview of the role:

  • Be the lead point of contact for the firm within the FI group, working closely with the partners on the developing and implementing strategic marketing and business development plans.
  • Conduct research on the financial markets, in order to advise lawyers on specific industry trends and opportunities for the FI group. This will also include market mapping potential new clients for the firm and looking for cross selling opportunities within the existing client base.
  • Collaborate with the attorneys on specific profile-raising opportunities and thought leadership opportunities, working with the internal PR team on pulling these together.
  • Take on more generalist BD tasks for the group, this will include working on RFP's, events and directory submissions.
