Business Development Manager - M&A
Job description
We are tremendously excited to be partnering with a Top 25 Am Law firm on their search to add a talented Business Development Specialist to their growing M&A practice!
In this position, you will work closely with senior members of the M&A and Private Equity practices to support key initiatives and drive growth. You will be working with and reporting into the practices Senior Manager, which we believe affords an excellent platform for the right candidate to continuously develop into management. Beyond that, this provides an excellent opportunity to develop cross-selling and key client support experience from both global and local standpoint.
We would love to engage with professionals that have previous Legal Business Development experience with a focus on the M&A practice area. The ideal candidate will have at minimum, 7+ years of Business Development experience within a Law Firm. Being an enthusiastic team player, who is looking to contribute and take part in a top-class culture, is a must as well.
Core Responsibilities:
- Prepare pitches and RFP responses, directory and award submissions, and develop/maintain practice group credentials and other relevant materials specific to each opportunity.
- Supervise the league table submission process, including coordinating with global M&A business development teams.
- Support senior team members by attending practice meetings to develop agendas, document key takeaways, and follow-up on agreed action points.
- Conduct research on existing and target clients, trends in the market, and competitor activity.
- Liaise with the Communications team to curate website and practice specific content while working in conjunction with the Events team to plan and execute internal and external events and sponsorships.
- Work with the CRM team and the legal assistants to consistently keep the Firm's CRM system up to date.
