Overview:
We are tremendously excited to be partnering with one of the top global law firms on their search to add a Business Development Manager to their growing Financial Restructuring & Insolvency team!
In this position, you will work closely with the Associate Director, Director and respective partners to implement business development initiatives aimed at building client relationships, identify new business opportunities, win new work and successfully position the Firm amongst the best in this practice area. The preferred candidate will serve as the go-to liaison and will develop and execute client strategy, while managing marketing initiatives for the Americas - Financial Restructuring and Insolvency practice group. We believe this provides an excellent opportunity for someone looking to professionally develop and take on leadership responsibilities. This is an important practice area for the firm, one that has a good deal of resources already dedicated to it, but the firm plans to develop it further come 2025.
We would love to engage with professionals that have Business Development experience within a Law Firm. Those that don't meet this qualification will not be considered for the position. Beyond that, this person must be enthusiastic about the opportunity and must lead by example for junior staff members.
Core Responsibilities:
- Support strategic initiatives of the Americas - FRI group including thought leadership and other marketing campaigns, support for the group's key clients and strengthening relationships with local counsel.
- Taking the lead and supporting on pitch preparation and capability/marketing collateral and assist with the creation of firm-wide materials, as appropriate
- Supporting the practice in ensuring that all pitches/proposals to clients, new engagements and closed deals are captured. Ensuring that this information is processed and disseminated internally and externally
- Working on the legal directories process, including drafting submissions and liaising with partners and researchers
