Job description
I'm tremendously excited to be partnering with one of the top global law firms on their search to add a Business Development Manager to their growing Latin American Transactional team!
In this position, you will work closely with the Associate Director, Senior Manager and respective partners to support and drive strategic growth initiatives, client development, market positioning and brand recognition. The preferred candidate will serve as the go-to liaison and will develop and execute client strategy, while managing marketing initiatives for the Latin American Capital Markets, Debt Finance and M&A practice groups. We believe this provides an excellent opportunity for someone with some management experience to further their growth as a leader, while taking a larger role in the strategic planning and approach for key accounts and clients.
I'd love to engage with professionals that have previous management experience in a Business Development function within a Law Firm. Being bi-lingual isn't a necessity but would be ideal for someone in the role. Beyond that, this person must be enthusiastic about the opportunity and must lead by example for junior staff members.
Core Responsibilities:
- Support strategic initiatives of the Latin America group including thought leadership and other marketing campaigns, major BD trips, support for the group's key clients and strengthening relationships with local counsel.
- Provide concrete, actionable ideas and robust advice and opinions to the team regarding business development efforts
- Manage and draft responses to Requests for Proposals and preparing presentations to clients in a timely manner and to an appropriately high standard. Maintain up-to-date materials about each practice's capabilities and experience, on a regional and country-by-country basis, including lawyers' biographies, deal lists, brochures and capability statements
- Working with the Firm's Communications team to proactively suggest ideas to improve the profile and positioning of the Latin America practices both internally and externally
