Business Development Manager
Job description
Overview:
We are tremendously excited to be representing an AmLaw 100 firm out on the West Coast of the US on their search to add a Business Development Manager to their growing Employment and Corporate practices!
In this position, you will work closely with the Directors of Business Development, the Director of Practice Management, and the Senior Practice Managers to support and drive strategic growth initiatives, client development and market positioning for this growing area for the firm. The preferred candidate will serve as the go-to liaison and will develop and execute client strategy, while managing marketing initiatives for the Employment and Corporate practice area. We believe this provides an excellent opportunity for someone with some management experience to further their growth as a leader, while taking a larger role in the strategic planning and approach for key accounts and clients.
We would love to engage with professionals that have previous Employment or Corporate practice area experience in a Business Development role within a Law Firm. Beyond that, this person must be enthusiastic about the opportunity and must lead by example for junior staff members.
Core Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop, execute, and track various business development projects including identifying opportunities and making recommendations to expand existing client work, and enhancing cross-selling opportunities within the Firm's practice and industry groups.
- Provide support for specific new business pursuits - including pitches, RFP responses and capabilities presentations.
- Develop programs designed to enhance the service provided from the team including, creating custom proposal/RFPs, tracking opportunities and leads, calculating ROI on events and sponsorships, collecting experience data, and implementing a sales-focused CRM.
- Monitor market/industry trends for Firm practice groups. Conduct research related to clients, prospects, industry segments and competitors.
We feel the current salary banding is competitive within the market, however, if you are looking for something above this range, we are open to discuss further. If this role would sound interesting to you, please directly apply or approach Sean Sweeney for more information.
