International recruitment firm Ambition has expanded its U.S. capabilities with the opening of a New York office.
The U.S. team specializes in the recruitment of marketing, business development, and communications professionals in the legal industry.

The opening of the New York office comes at an exciting moment for the Australian- headquartered firm, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.
Founded in 1999 by Nick Waterworth and Paul Lyons in Sydney, Australia, Ambition has already grown a successful presence across Asia, the UK, and Australia, with offices in London, Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Sydney, and Melbourne.
Ambition’s growth has been underpinned by its corporate philosophy of “inch wide, mile deep,” emphasizing its focus on narrow, specialist areas of recruitment and building exceptionally deep knowledge in those fields.
The demand from UK clients requesting Ambition’s deep expertise in recruiting marketing and BD professionals for their U.S. offices has seen Ambition serving U.S. law firm clients for the past year from London. The new New York office in midtown Manhattan will enable Ambition to significantly expand its services to U.S. law firms.
The office will be under Acuna Ocana’s direction, along with Associate Director Ben Curle, who has transferred from London to be on the ground for the U.S. expansion efforts.

In the U.S., Ambition recruits for positions from Director and C-suite to specialist-level marketing, BD, and communications, with a focus on business development planning, bids and proposals, client relationship management, communications and public relations, digital marketing, events, graphic design, key account management and other related areas.
